She thoroughly enjoys the journey and creative processes via film. Cindy processes all her black and white films and prints herself. In April 2009, Cindy traveled to Carmel Valley, CA. where she studied with master photographer, John Sexton, and his wife, Anne Larsen. She has studied black and white photography through the University of Maine at Augusta and in private with Robert Darby of Winthrop, ME. She has exhibited in numerous shows over the past four years through out Central and coastal Maine . She has also exhibited in the annual juried Maine Photography Show (2007,2008, 2010); L/A Arts Community Gallery; The Harlow Gallery juried and membership shows: UMA Student Exhibit; Viles Arboretum(2008,2009); and the Turner Center for the Arts juried shows.
She is grateful to be sharing her experiences with members of METFP and her husband, Nicholas and two endearing cats, Ebony and Smoke.
I feel quiet, yet intense energy in the natural elements of our habitat. A sense of magic prevails. A sense of mystery. It is a time for contemplation, for listening - a time for making photographs. - John Sexton
